WULIFE uses a complete three-level measurement framework covering traditional and AI search performance.
Three levels of measurement
Exposure
Measure how well content reaches people:
- Article views, video plays and impressions
- Engagement rate: likes, comments, saves and shares
- Impressions of creator content
Conversion
Measure actions driven by content:
- Click-through rate (CTR)
- Add-to-cart rate
- Conversion rate (CVR)
- Average order value and ROI
Brand impact
Measure long-term brand assets:
- Changes in search indices on Baidu, Taobao and Xiaohongshu (REDnote)
- Positive sentiment rate
- AI mention rate (the share of tested answers to relevant questions in which engines such as Doubao, Qwen and ChatGPT mention the brand)
GEO-specific metrics
GEO projects also track:
- AI search exposure rate — The share of relevant AI answers that mention the brand
- Citation accuracy — Whether the brand information AI cites is accurate and complete
- Question coverage — How many relevant AI question-and-answer scenarios the brand's content covers
Reporting and reviews
- During delivery, we provide weekly and monthly reports
- Data reviews drive ongoing strategy improvements
- GEO projects specifically track AI search exposure, brand mention rate and related metrics
Different metrics for different stages
A single ROI metric cannot capture all the value of content marketing. At launch, focus on coverage, engagement quality and user feedback. During scaling, focus on clicks, carts, conversions and return on ad spend. Over the long term, track search indices, growth in branded searches, repeat-purchase signals, accumulated content assets and AI mentions.
Focusing only on short-term sales can undervalue the lasting contribution of discovery, review and knowledge content. Looking only at exposure can overlook whether the content actually converts.
How WULIFE reviews performance
WULIFE reviews content, creators, channels, paid campaigns, conversion and search performance together. The purpose goes beyond reporting numbers: we identify content worth scaling, creators suited to long-term cooperation, benefits that need to be rewritten and questions that should become FAQs or knowledge articles to serve further searches and AI questions.
